àPAGES: Add pages with top tabs
1. View your blog
2. Click design (upper right)
3. Click Pages
4. Show pages: pull down “Top Tabs”
5. Click New page (blank page)
6. Page title: “FineLines”
7. In the body type the following:
a. A line (or lines) from a poem that you admire
b. A sentence that you admire
c. Your own sentence that you admire
8. Click “Publish”
9. Click “Save Arrangement
10. View blog
11. You can add other pages as well: “WorkOn” for comments from graded essasys.
àAdd gadget: Reading!
1. View your blog
2. Click ‘Design’
3. Click ‘Layout’
4. Click “Add a Gadget” (upper middle right)
5. Click the + next to “Text” by Blogger
6. Type title: “What I’m reading”
7. Type in body a list of works you’ve recently read, are currently reading, or plan to.
8. Click save. Click Save Arrangement. View blog.
àAdd gadget: Links
1. As above, Click ‘Design,’ ‘Layout,’ ‘Add a Gadget’ (upper middle right)
2. Click the + next to “Link List” by Blogger
3. Type title: “Links to Blogs”
4. Type in URL’s of the class blog and at least two other student blogs.
5. Click save. Click Save Arrangement View blog.
àAdd more photos
1. Go to google images.
2. Type in a theme or word (sports, scifi, Hamlet, writing, Haiku, etc.)
3. Select several images. Right click (on a PC), save photo as, choose my pictures and create a folder called blogs. (If the photo is titled “Image” you should give it a name.)
4. While you are posting to blogspot, click the image of a picture and navigate from browse to MyPictures and select an image and add it.
5. Right click on the imbedded image. Choose the size and whether you want it left, center, or right. Add a short caption.
6. Click publish.
àTweak your design: Click ‘Design’ then ‘Template’ and search through different looks for your blog.
